2012 new BMW 3 Series launch date in India on 27th July, 2012
The new 2012 BMW 3 Series will be launched in India on the 27th of July, 2012. Prior to the launch, BMW India is boosting up its promotional activities for the new 3-series by bringing in publicity car convoys covered in QR code which have so far been spotted in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The new 2012 BMW F30 3 Series sedan takes design cues from the bigger BMW 5-Series and the 7-Series with more angular headlights with LEDs placed like eyelids above the corona rings. The car is also a bit bigger than the predecessor with the weight being reduced by about 40kgs.

Both, petrol and diesel engine options will be available for the new 3 Series. The 320i will be one of the petrol variants, delivering a power of approximately 184bhp. The other petrol variant will be the 328i which will produce a power of 245bhp. On the other hand, the 320d diesel powertrain will be capable of producing 174bhp. The engines will be mated to a choice of a 6 speed manual and an 8 speed automatic gearbox.
Audi India has steadily been catching up to BMW in rankings and the new 2012 3 Series is BMW’s answer to Audi models like the A4. At present, exact prices have not been revealed, meanwhile, BMW dealerships across the country will begin displaying the car and offering test drives over the next couple of weeks in the run up to the launch.
