BMW 1-Series : 2013 BMW M135i officially unveiled
BMW has released the first official details and images of the three door hatchback version of their new generation 1-series that is crowned with the new M135i. The three-door hatch becomes the second body style to join the new generation 1-series after the five-door version.
The BMW M135i has a 3.0 liter, straight six-cylinder engine producing 320hp as well as M-suspension components and aerodynamically optimized body features. The official release follows the Concept M135i shown at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 in March.
The straight six-cylinder petrol engine uses a twin scroll turbocharger, direct fuel injection system high precision injection, variable valve control Valvetronic and Double Vanos. The maximum performance 320hp at 5,800rpm and 450Nm between 1,300 – 4,500rpm. Acceleration from zero to 100km/h is done in 5.1 seconds for the six-speed manual version and 4.9 for the eight-speed automatic sports transmission with gearshift paddles integrated in the steering wheel. The top speed is a limited 250km/h.
The BMW M135i also boasts the brand’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, an aerodynamically enhanced body kit, an upgraded suspension and a unique interior that distinguishes itself from the standard variants.
