Toyota Motors today at Delhi launched the Diesel variant to the Toyota Corolla Altis in the Indian market. As announced earlier by Toyota Motors, the diesel variant of the Corolla Altis will be fitted with a 1.4L in-line 4-cylinder D-4D Common Rail Diesel Engine capable of generating 85.78 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 205 Nm.
The Corolla Altis Diesel will be available in three varaints : D-4D J, D-4D G and D-4D GL. All three variants will be equipped with 6-speed manual transmission. The Corolla Altis Diesel has been attractively priced between Rs. 10,95,000 and Rs. 13,75,000, ex-showroom Delhi. Toyota claims an estimated fuel efficiency of 21.43kmpl.
