Range Rover Evoque launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 44.75 lakh
Tata Motors Ltd. has earlier today launched the 2011 Range Rover Evoque in India. Priced at Rs. 44.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the base variant, the Range Rover Evoque will be available in four variants with prices going up to Rs. 56.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the top-end variant.
Brought into India as a completely built unit (CBU) from the Land Rover factory in Hailwood, UK, the Evoque is priced a bit higher than its competition, the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, which are assembled in India as completely knocked down (CKD) kits.

This car has excited audiences across the world and we expect the same from the discerning Indian customers,” said Mr. P.M.Telang, Managing Director – India Operations, Tata Motors.
The Land Rover Evoque will be available in India in both its forms : three door and five door versions. The three door variant of the Evoque will feature only the petrol engine while the five door version will be available with both petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 2 liter unit producing 240 Bhp of peak power and 340 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 2.2 Liter common rail, turbocharged unit capable of a peak power output of 190 Bhp and a peak torque output of 420 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox with full time all wheel drive as a standard feature across the Evoque SUV range.
The Range Rover Evoque will be available in India in three trims : Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. All three variants feature ABS, airbags, ESP, TCS and automatic hill hold are available as standard equipment.
