2013 Mercedes Benz SL-Class : Official pictures surface
Yesterday we brought you a couple of pictures of the 2013 Mercedes Benz SL-Class from a brochure scan and today we have the official pictures of the new 2013 SL-Class which have yet again managed to get leaked before the official unveiling at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
And this time we have a lot of details regarding the new 2013 SL-Class. The new SL-Class will feature an aluminum unibody structure that enables the car to weigh up to 140 kgs less than the current model. The loss in weight along with more refined engines take up fuel efficiency by as much as 30 per cent on the SL-Class.
The 2013 SL will be powered by a range of new turbocharged engines. It’s expected to get Mercedes-Benz’s 3.5-litre V6, and the new 4.6-litre twin-turbo V8. Further details will be unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show on January 9, before going on sale globally by the third or fourth quarter of 2012.

Other “bells and whistles” that will feature in the new SL include Magic Vision Control which integrates the windshield washer nozzles into the wiper blades to ensure fluid won’t be sprayed into the cabin when the top is down. There will also be a new Front Bass sound system which has two subwoofers mounted in the footwells for improved audio quality.
