BMW launches MINI cars in India; Prices start at Rs. 24.9 lakh
The BMW Group has launched the MINI brand in India. The BMW-owned manufacturer will bring in four models, namely the Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper Convertible and Cooper S Countryman into India as completely built units (CBUs). The company plans to have exclusive MINI showrooms, staring from two in Delhi and one in Mumbai to create a separate brand identity for the iconic car.
The MINI brands entry level offering is the MINI Cooper hatchback which is priced at Rs. 24.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Following this we have the Mini Cooper S at Rs.27.9 lakh, Mini Convertible at Rs.29.99 lakh and Mini Cooper S Countryman at Rs.31.99 lakh.

MINI’s innovative profile has enabled the brand to win over a trend-conscious and quality-oriented target group. With the launch of MINI, the BMW Group debuts in the premium small car segment in India. In the start-up phase, BMW Group’s main focus will be to concentrate on successfully establishing the MINI brand in India. At a later stage, the BMW Group will focus on further development of dealer network and higher sales volumes.”
The German carmaker has started bookings of the MINI in India and deliveries will commence by March this year.
