Mitsubishi Pajero Sport’s price in India lowered as local assembly commences

Hindustan Motors have announced a cut in price of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport as local assembly of the SUV through CKD (completely knocked down) kits have commenced at the company’s plant in Tiruvallur, Chennai. Mitsubishi is working on a plug-in hybrid crossover version of the Mitsubishi Outlander which will be due in 2013. A concept version of the Outlander Plug-in hybrid titled “Concept PX-MiEV II” was showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show. Mitsubishi will be launching the Pajero Sport in India by February 2012. This has been confirmed by Hindustan Motors MD, Mr. Manoj Jha. Earlier Mitsubishi was planning on unveiling and then going on to launch the new Pajero Sport in India at the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo but had to pull out eventually due to the floods in Thailand thereby delaying the launch.
