Nissan Invitation Concept coming to 2012 Geneva Motor Show
Nissan’s 2013 bound B-segment concept car, dubbed the Nissan Invitation Compact MPV concept, will be making an appearance at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new compact MPV will be launched in 2013 and will go on to replace the Nissan Note Compact MPV.
The car maker said the vehicle’s is designed to be “inviting” with a surprisingly roomy interior despite its small overall size. The Invitation also reflects an industry-wide trend toward smaller cars with features typically found on larger luxury models. In addition to sensors that alert the driver about obstacles, the concept has the company’s Around View Monitor, or AVM camera system. The AVM gives the driver an overhead view of the vehicle that helps when backing up or parallel parking.

Combining advanced engine technology, Nissan’s lightweight platform and an aerodynamically efficient body mean the Invitation should achieve competitive levels of fuel efficiency and emissions. Nissan is aiming for an ultra-low CO2 emission target of under 100 grams per kilometre for the most frugal model.
Stay tuned for more updates.
