Nissan Micra and Sunny Petrol price in India hiked
Following close on the heels of the price hike by Maruti Suzuki and GM in India, Nissan has also hiked the prices of the Micra and Sunny petrol in India. The hike in price varies between 0.56 per cent to 2.09 per cent and will be in effect from today (20th Jan, 2012). The Nissan Sunny diesel will not be affected by the price hike.
The Nissan Micra petrol hatch will see a price hike of Rs. 3,000 while prices of the diesel version will go up by Rs 12,000. The petrol version of Nissan Micra is currently priced between Rs. 4.10 lakh and Rs. 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the diesel variant is tagged between Rs. 5.72 lakh and Rs. 6.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Nissan Sunny petrol sedan which was introduced in the Indian market in September 2011 will now be dearer by Rs. 5,000. The base variant of the Nissan Sunny petrol is currently priced at Rs. 5.78 lakh with the top end variant going all the way up to Rs. 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Nissan Sunny diesel sedan however will not be affected by the price hike owing to strong demand for the car. The sedan racks up the highest sales figures in Nissan India’s model line-up selling 3,663 units since its launch in September until December 2011.
