2014 Porsche Macan : Spyshots and a close render
A while back, we had brought to you news of a new entry-level SUV, the Porsche Macan, that might be making it to India once the SUV is launched. The entry-level Porsche SUV was captured by Auto Motor Und Sport testing on public roads. The spyshots reveal a lower, sleeker and smaller SUV taking elements of design from the highly successful Porsche Cayenne.
And courtesy of the spyshots we also have a near accurate rendering of the Macan thanks to Dan Duzdugan from PS-Garage. And the resemblance with the Porsche Cayenne is evident from the images. A lot of styling cues are borrowed from the elder brother to keep the design in-line with the family of Porsche cars. The key difference between the two models are elements such as the LED lights and DRLs in the air intake vents.
The Macan will be available with a range of three petrol engines and most probably two diesel power sources. The base model will come with a 220hp-strong 2.0 liter TFSI engine, followed by a 295hp-strong 3.6 liter V6. The top of the range model will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 producing up to 370hp. The diesel engines will get respectively 190hp and 250hp.
Stay tuned for more updates.
