2013 Suzuki Escudo / Grand Vitara SUV : Pictures inside
The Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is one of the oldest mainstream models in the compact SUV segment having been in production in its current form since 2005. Barely a week after the first spyshots of what seemed to be a facelifted Grand Vitara surfaced on the web, Japanese automaker Suzuki has released official images of this 5 seat SUV. Called Escudo in Japan, the new Grand Vitara’s facelift brings along a few cosmetic updates to the table.
Engine options remain the same with a 2.4 liter four cylinder petrol engine with 165 PS power and 225 Nm torque. Though major changes on board the new Suzuki Vitara / Escudo are seen in its exterior, minor interior changes include new material and color for seats and door panels.
The front grille and bumper are the major changes up front while the headlamps seem to be retained without any changes from the current model. This apart, the SUV is pretty much the same on its side profile. The rear of the 2013 Grand Vitara too retains the existing design.
It is still unknown whether Suzuki will be bringing the new 2012 Vitara to global markets outside Japan. For now check out the images of the new Vitara and stay tuned for more updates.
