Corolla Altis Diesel to be launched in India on 21 July, 2010

Finally, after much waiting the Corolla Altis Diesel will soon be unveiled on the 21st of July 2010 in a function in New Delhi.

The Corolla Altis Diesel will portray the same features as its petrol sibling. The same exteriors, interiors and safety features. The engine specifications of the Corolla Altis Diesel are still to be released, however a market standard 85 – 100bhp range engine is expected.

Diesel Toyota for launch in India

The main competitors for the Toyota Corolla Altis Diesel in its segment will be the Skoda Octavia, Skoda Laura and VW Jetta Diesel variants. Key factors on which the toyota expects to score could be the superior Toyota engine with minimal maintenance. With Toyota being known for its maintenance free cars, the Corolla Altis Diesel could well be hot competition for its rivals.
