According to the latest bit of information that we have received, Tata owned Jaguar-Land Rover will launch the Range Rover Evoque in India during the month of November, 2011. The Range Rover Evoque will be brought into India as a completely built unit, being shipped directly from Land Rover’s Hailwood factory in the United Kingdom.
The Range Rover Evoque will be launched in three-door coupé and five-door SUV versions with the three-door being available only in Dynamic trim with a 2.0-litre, 237bhp turbo-petrol. The five-door will be offered in three trims — Pure, Prestige and Dynamic — and a 2.2-litre, 187bhp common-rail, turbo-diesel. Both engines are mated to a six-speed auto and power all four wheels. The Evoque Pure variant will be the base version but is quite well equipped with standard features including Range Rover’s Terrain Response off-road system, cruise control, a fixed panoramic glass roof, Xenon headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless go, climate control, electric adjust front seats, leather seats, paddle-shifters a touch-screen audio, Bluetooth connectivity and an 11-speaker Meridian audio system.
The Evoque Prestige variant adds a luxurious interior and exterior styling kit, 18-inch alloy wheels, premium leather seats, contrast painted roof and keyless entry along with the features that are present on the Evoque Pure variant. The Dynamic variant comes with everything the Pure and Pleasure has and a sporty exterior and interior styling kit and perforated leather seats.
As for pricing plans, expect the Range Rover Evoque to be placed somewhere around Rs. 50 lakh for the base diesel variant with prices going up to Rs. 65 lakh for the top end Dynamic variant.
