We all know that Hyundai has been working on its all-new small car, the Eon, which earlier was known by its codename HA. Now for the first time, thanks to AutoCar, we can now have the first set of images of the Hyundai Eon which by then looks of it is heavily inspired by the Fluidic design philosophy that runs through all new Hyundai cars’ design.
The Hyundai Eon is Hyundai’s baby hatch that will compete with the likes of the Alto and A-Star when it gets launched in India. Powering the Hyundai Eon will be the Santro-derived three-cylinder engine which will be further refined and tuned to achieve a new high in fuel efficiency.
Standalone dealerships selling only Hyundai’s entry level cars like the Eon and the Santro Xing are a part of Hyundai India’s strategy of taking on Maruti Suzuki, which enjoys a very good presence even in smaller towns of India. Expect the Hyundai Eon small car to be launched bang in the middle of the Indian festive season during October at well under 3 Lakh rupees for the base variant.
