  • Top Gear 2011 Christmas Special episode to be shot in India

For those of you who have been following the Top Gear series regularly over the years, you must be aware of the Top Gear Christmas Special which is typically a whole episode devoted to some type of epic road trip in a totally new country. And this year Top Gear all set to set foot in India in the first week of October to film their Christmas special.

At this point, it’s unclear exactly what the trio will get up to in India, but given that Clarkson hasn’t had kind things to say about the area in the past, we’re all but guaranteed some sort of multi-cultural dust up. Previously, Clarkson had called India’s roads a “war zone.”

Jeremy also happened to mention how he reckons Top Gear isn’t as controversial as people say it is. “The Daily Mail calls it ‘sparked fury’ but actually when you look there’s been two complaints out of 5 or 6 million people. It’s not really sparking fury. A couple of people were mildly irritated. You learn to ignore it.”

Well fury or no fury from India, the rest is something we all will have to wait till Christmas to find out.
